For golfers there are two 18-hole golf courses. Tennis enthusiasts can either play on the outdoor or indoor court. If you just want to spend a fun night with friends, the bowling alley is the perfect place for that.

For fun, action and joy you can race down the summer toboggan track with your whole family. You might also want to try out your balance and courage in the high rope course nearby.

The highlight of your trip to Zell am See could be to take a tandem paragliding-tour. Starting at the peak of the Schmittenhöhe, you slowly will glide through the air and enjoy the unforgettable view across the valley.

In the area around the Schmittenhöhe there are 18 cozy alpine cabins and restaurants. You definitely should not miss out on visiting at least one of them so you get to try the tasty homemade food and sweets.

Something special during the winter season is the “Pinzga Tag”. Every Sunday guest in the alpine cabins and restaurants get to try delicious regional specialties like “Pinzgauer Kasnock´n”, “Kaspressknödl”, “Gamssuppe”, “Erdäflnidei and Bauernkrapfen” to name a few. All these specialties are listed in a special menu and we invite you to try them and enjoy!

If you are looking for extreme excitement and physical challenge, you can go on a canyoning tour. Experienced guides will lead you through narrow creeks, big rocks and ice cold waterfalls. At the end - if you dare - you can take a bath in the melted glacial water.

The crystal clear Zeller lake is the perfect place to windsurf or waterski. You can also go for a dive and enjoy the underwater world. If you prefer more relaxing activities, rent a boat and enjoy the sun or borrow fishing equipment and go on a fishing trip.

The fleet of the Schmittenhöhenbahn AG invites you to take a relaxing round-trip or charter-trip on one of its boats.  The public bath at the lake offers loads of fun. A water-mushroom, a 5m high trampoline, fun-inner-tubes, banana boat  and water skis make the experience complete. For the little ones there is a special play pool, so your children can enjoy the water safely.

Families love the Schmittenhöhe for many good reasons: on the adventure trail “Schmidolins Feuertaufe” little explorers get to follow “Schmidolin the Dragon” to different stations where kids can solve tasks and collect multi-coloured firestones. “Fridolins Feuerstuhl” is pure action for children between 6 and 14 years of age: wearing helmets, gloves and other protective gear little race drivers can ride OSET-Bikes. The parents can try electro-motocross-bikes in Austria´s only high altitude Motocross Park. Racing fun without the noise and exhaust!

From the 15. May to 31. October, guests receive the Zell am See-Kaprun Card free of charge. This card comprises many free benefits and discounts, including free use of local cable cars.
